Jerry Humble is happily married to Anne Woodling and will celebrate 30 years together next March. He is a proud parent of four adult children and a one year old grandson, two daughters who reside in Texas, a son daughter in law and grandson in Connecticut, and a daughter currently living in Berlin Germany. Jerry joined the BSC Board in 2016 as a Peace Lutheran member. As a Board volunteer, Jerry has served actively on the Development Committee, and as field supervisor for a graduate social work student from New Mexico State University.
Jerry grew up near Oklahoma City, and received an undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University. Part of his commitment to BSC volunteers stems from his personal experience as a young college graduate serving in an inner city setting in Virginia under the umbrella of the Baptist Home Mission Board. After receiving a seminary degree and an MSW, Jerry’s career included social work, health care management, as well as many areas of community service and volunteer work. Prior to retiring from paid employment in 2015, Jerry was an elementary special education teacher for 11 years.
Anne and Jerry have lived in Austin, San Antonio, Temple before moving to Las Cruces in 1997.
