Member of Peace Lutheran Church in El Paso
Born in Leadville, Colorado. Moved to El Paso in 1979. Had enough snow! Two surviving children. Mark and Heidi from first marriage – both live in Colorado.
Joined the BSC board three years ago, but have been involved with them for over ten years at the El Paso House. I attempt to become overly involved with all the El Paso volunteers both in their work lives and personal lives. I am a skilled carpenter and woodworker and have completed many projects at the El Paso house.
Most years I am readily available to meet new volunteers at the beginning of the year when they first arrive at the airport or house. Many times after vacations also. Normally I have all the volunteers from both houses for Thanksgiving dinner.
I attempt to attend as many house get-togethers each month and try to attend the visit at each volunteers job site when they give their presentation.
I assist as much as I am able to help with the annual fund raising project. This year I was able to have several artists in El Paso donate trays for the auction.
Our Church Pastor is a former BSC volunteer and director and she stays involved with the Casa de Paz volunteers.
