Volunteer Programs

YEARLONG VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Border Servant Corps full-time volunteers live in intentional community, learn about living simply, work for social justice, and explore spirituality. Volunteers work with issues such as poverty, immigration, domestic violence, education, and health care with opportunities to work in churches, shelters, legal centers, after-school programs, clinics, and more! The service year is from mid-August through July each year, with a break in August between service years.

SHORT TERM VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Border Servant Corps short term volunteer opportunities allow current college and/or seminary students to participate in multi-month volunteer experiences. Participants serve at service sites and participate in activities surrounding the BSC tenets. Short term volunteers experience immersion that offers a multi-faceted orientation to the realities of the border. In addition, short term volunteers have the opportunity to live in intentional community with yearlong volunteers.
