TO DENY PEOPLE THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS IS TO CHALLENGE THEIR VERY HUMANITY.
– NELSON MANDELA
The Human Rights and Advocacy program empowers and supports migrant communities through comprehensive initiatives, including a migrant shelter preparedness program, human rights tools, educational human rights teach-ins, and a resource library dedicated to migrant issues.
Tiffany Burrow, Director of Operations
"Located in an isolated, rural border community with few resources, Ali has been an invaluable connection to VVBHC on both legal and tech fronts. During her short tenure as Director of Human Rights and Advocacy, we've addressed and revamped security concerns/policies, installed different computer tech tools, discussed legal issues pertaining specifically to VVBHC. Ali's expertise, professionalism, and approachability is a winning combination and I am grateful for her support!"
